Karen is the owner and aesthetician behind Calming Waters Organic Facials, a San Diego-based sanctuary for healthy, glowing skin. At calmingwatersfacials.com, she combines her passion for skincare with a mission to empower clients through education and self-care.
From Dreamer to
Business Owner
As a teenager, Karen dreamed of owning a small business after seeing a women-owned dog grooming shop. Her own struggles with problematic skin sparked a passion for skincare. At 39, she took a leap of faith, returned to school, and earned her aesthetician license to help others overcome their skin challenges.
The Joy of Transformation
Karen’s favorite part of her work is seeing her clients’ faces light up as they watch their skin transform after a facial. Using Eminence Organics, a line of products made from fruits and vegetables grown in Budapest, Hungary, Karen not only revitalizes skin but also educates clients on how to create effective skincare routines tailored to their individual needs.
